An Independent Belle is any woman who is working to grow personally and professionally. Independent Belle will encompass all things that define the modern day woman. Topics like Work/Life balance, Careers, Women’s Issues, Friendships, Family, and Personal Growth. We’ll only increase our knowledge and confidence by learning from other’s challenges and experiences, failures and successes. So whatever the post topic is, please respond and add your opinions and comments.

The fact is, we have to help each other move forward. Independent Belle encourages mentoring, friendship, community, and networking. Essentially, I want to create what I didn’t have when I first moved to the city; women like myself to share life experiences with.

An important part of my life is helping others be successful, especially women. I want to encourage you to take the leap and move to a big city if that is what you choose to do, or ask for a raise or promotion, whatever it is. And once you get where you’re going, I want you to know that its okay to be yourself. That is where I came up with the name, Independent Belle. Independent Belle is the idea that you can be professional, successful, and independent and yet still be feminine (or in my case, a little bit of a Southern Belle). I hope you’ll join me.
