An Independent Belle is any woman who always makes an effort to be at the top of her game (but is not afraid to learn from her mistakes.)  As a matter of fact, I think we increase our knowledge and confidence by learning from other’s challenges and experiences, failures and successes. So whatever the post topic is, please respond and add your opinions and comments.

The fact is, we have to help each other move forward.  There is so much competition everywhere you look today, that unfortunately in many cases, it’s led to an environment where women are competing against each other rather than coming together.  Essentially, I want to create what I didn’t have when I first moved to the city; women like myself to share life experiences with.

I want to encourage you to take the leap and move to a big city if that is what you choose to do, or ask for a raise or promotion, whatever it is. And once you get where you’re going, I want you to know that its okay to be yourself. That is where I came up with the name, Independent Belle. Independent Belle is the idea that you can be professional, successful, and independent and yet still be feminine (or in my case, a little bit of a Southern Belle). I hope you’ll join me.
