My girlfriends and I have talked about this so many times. I think often we get caught up in how great a guy is that we forget how much we bring to the table. Really believing in yourself, knowing your self worth, and trusting that you will still be happy with or without a certain "Mr." in your life is so important. They key is truly believing in it. There were so many times that I swore off guys, and of course, would find myself in the same situations. BUT, the one and only time it worked was when I TRULY was OK with being by myself. Deep deep down in my heart, for the first time, I DIDN'T WANT A GUY. And guess what? My furture husband walked into my life. And I didn't want him! Why? Because I was, for the first time, truly OK with myself. I didn't want this guy messing up my "guybriety"! Not only had I sworn off guys, but I believed it, and it was true! But, I couldn't resist. And I found myself falling in love with him. ONLY because I was truly OK being by myself. Now we have a 1 year old son.... !!! This is so true… but being guy-sober isn’t the only thing that’s going to work. They key is truly believing in it.
